Kids these days are highly energetic and creative. Some of them may simply sit all day and play games on the personal computer, the Internet and their hand held gadgets, they display some degree of creativity. I mean, come on, it takes a whole bag of creative juices to strategically win a battle with the computer. And even if they lose all of that, they can still be creative, especially when bored.
That’s why, as parents, we need to give them our full support by providing them a venue to be creative just like enrolling them in music school. Sometimes, what they do may not be as logical for us, or as cute or useful, according to our standards and understanding, but try asking a child about his or her creation, given full attention, then you will realize that even if you’ll simply buy Eventide, the child can do something much more creative than how it’s supposed to be for. Who knows? You may just have a one man band living under your roof.
The girl will continue her piano lessons this year and hopefully by next summer, she will begin violin lessons.
