Mommy and D Attended Chic’s Bday Party!

It’s Dimpy’s first debut attendance.  Gerlie, one of my close friends in elementary plus our girls went to the same class during the elementary years, invited me and Dimple to attend chic’s 18th birthday party provided that we both wear a gown if not a cocktail dress.  I didn’t worry for me because I got the red dress I wore last April but my girl got none, that is why in the previous post, I wrote about our Saturday night experience.

We went to the party without our camera.  I forgot to grab it before I went out to ride the taxi.  Too late for regrets.  But even then, I enjoyed the evening.  Gerlie together with her friends, prepared a beautiful program – making the night really an unforgetable night for her eldest daughter.

The food was great.  Sweets was overflowing!  Giveaways were unique and my girl loves it.  She loves the box, too!  Our invitation was not cancelled because we went to the party without our invitation.   I left it at my office in the hospital.

One our way back, we could have waited forever for a taxi.  But thanks to newfound friend – Bang & Chris, we hitched a ride.  Their car was moody when we hopped on, so me, Bang, dimple, and the guard, tried to push it to a position that will be easier to push.  Thanks to the guys who passed by, the car did start after several push.

I was sweaty but yet happy the car woke up from sleep.  They drop us at the corner of Ferndale Street and Milestrone drive.  Bang is the sister of my classmates classmate in the elementary years – Sharon Namocatcat.  Sharon and I are from the same batch – Batch 1986 but graduated from different school.  Bang shared too that her ex bf is an Adventist, and indeed I knew him. lol!  Dimple commented while walking home — such a small world!

Indeed it is such a small world.

We both had an unforgetable night!

p.s.

we don’t have even a single photo together. sigh :(

Gown and Mc Donalds Iligan ^&^

Before the sunset, I hurried home and grab the daughter to hurry up because we are going to rent an evening gown.  We are going to attend a birthday debut Sunday night and it is a must to wear a gown.  I am sure there is nothing to rent for my size but I am so sure for my daughter. We went out and indeed we were able to catch up one shop.  The rental fee was Php 350.00. Sounds dear for just a few hours use but there is no use in complaining.

From the gown shop, we proceeded to the mall to pick a gift for Chic.  It’s almost closing time when we exited the mall.  We were almost tempted to watch a movie – but decided to do it next time as I have other things in mind…we are going to check out the newest fast food in Iligan City – Mc Donalds!

We don’t have lots of money but we have enough coins (thanks to Piggy) to get us a large fries and mc flurry each.  There were so many people – surely they were just checking out the new place, so we enjoyed our food at the second floor.  After we finished up our food – we went home.

It’s laundry time for the daughter.

It’s sleeping time for me.  I wish to read more but I decided to rest my eyes for the night.

She arrived at almost ten this morning.  I was still in the bedroom trying to get some morning sleep.  I thought we could go that morning to do some grocery, but I decided that it is already late if we want to be safe.  So we spent the day taking turns in using this laptop and be online and also sleeping.

She slept after breakfast and I went online.  After sometime, I went back to sleep and when I awoke later, she was already on Facebook.   Thank God she is used to sleeping early so she retire earlier than me and I had the laptop to myself until wee hours in the morning.

We are going out shopping tomorrow morning – @ 9.

The daughter is home and at the moment this post is written, she is snoring in her sleep. hahaha  She sounds tired.  Last night, she slept at the hospital to accompany the grandma of her classmate.  Her classmate was admitted Friday evening.  She was sent in by the school’s vehicle accompanied by many students who stayed the first night with the patient and the grandma.  When the classmates left yesterday,  Dimple and her cousin took the task of accompanying them.  The patient got well already so they discharged this morning.  It was almost ten am the daughter arrived home.  Went on FB and then had e-book reading for some hours while I slept.  When I woke up, I asked to use the laptop and it’s her turn to sleep.  So now, she is sleeping soundly. hahaha

Tomorrow morning, we will be going shopping for stuff that she needs in school.  She got a long list.  :(

Hazelnut Frappe

I had this awhile back and it made me miss my daughter. It’s Hazelnut Frappe from Coffee Works. It reminds me of Dimple’s first time at Starbucks in Cagayan de Oro. We had it last year. I am trying to find the photo here in my file but I cannot find it.  If my fund will allow, we will have a date there the next time she will be home for a weekend.

She just came home last weekend but we went out of town last Sunday, so I haven’t thought of this as my birthday treat for her.  July is my birthday but I help her treat me as just like what we did during our first time we had Starbucks.

Siquijor Island Minus Her

It is summer and she is just at home with nothing really interesting to do.  Me went to Siquijor but without her.  She is suppose to be with me.  But with an upcoming trip early in June, I nicely asked her if it is okey she won’t be traveling with me this time.  Good thing she agreed.  Somehow next time, she can tag along.

Siquijor is a nice place to explore.  Our days there were not much to explore the whole island.  Most places we visited were beaches.  We haven’t gone to the caves and other interesting sites.  Time and transportation curtailed some of this interests.  But maybe next time.

When i left home last Saturday afternoon, Dimple went house visiting together with her cousins.  Later I was tagged this photo:

Photobucket

She was not with me in that trip but surely we will be together in the upcoming trip to HK.

My daughter came home the day before they are to leave for Malaysia.  She arrived in the afternoon and as soon as she arrived, we hurriedly went to Gaisano Mall to purchase some stuff she needs to bring.  After the panic purchase, I decided that we will grab a bite at Mc Donalds because we have the Mc Donalds GC I received during the PMC 2nd Grand Eyeball in Manila last month.

We both enjoyed our food.

Thank you Drypers for the free meal.

Bonding Moment at the SALE

I was just home during the weekend with her.  Suddenly she said that we go to the mall because she felt bored.  We don’t have money to go shopping but if ever we can get a good item for P20.00 then I have money.  I said I will just pay for her fare.  Whatever she likes to buy, then she must buy it herself.

Her fave store in the mall is the BOOK SALE!  Never a visit to the mall that she will not pass by this place.  So that is our first destination when we arrived:

That book Chicken Soup was the book she decided to buy and those yellow books? she also wanted to have it.  ^^

And wanna see my purchase?

All for P80.00 roughly $2.00

What i like in this place, you can stay as long as you can and enjoy reading.

After the book purchase, we decided not to eat out but just buy some ingredients for a nicer spaghetti meal.  So i bought a can of spicy tuna and 6 pcs of chicken hotdog, and some vegetables.

That day, I realized that really my kid is growing up fast. ^^
